Rosinton Methodist Church was organized the third Sunday in May, 1913 with the Rev. J.L. White serving as pastor. The first building was a one-room schoolhouse that served as a church
for many years. The Methodist Church and the Evangelical United Brethren Church united in 1968 which formed the United Methodist Church. On January 31, 2022 the church voted to
disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church because of the deep divide within the organization around human sexuality. That vote was ratified by the Annual Conference on May 7, 2023. And this congregation became
Rosinton Community Church.
